Counselling & Class: Inviting Authors.
I’ve been asked to edit a book on counselling and class for PCCS Books and am inviting counsellor and psychotherapist potential authors to get in touch.
The book will be a collection of chapters, a mixture of
Personal experiences
Political analysis
Interfacing with major theories.
Three overarching themes are the profession, the practitioner and the client.
I’m particularly enthusiastic about working with people who may have not been published before. You don’t need to be an academic or a writer, you just need to have something to say.
A great many therapists feel uncomfortable, even unsafe, talking about their experience of class. If you’re interested in contributing to this book please think seriously about what kind of care you may want around you. The paradox is that the more you feel that you don’t want to write because of the feelings this may unearth the more your peers may need to hear about it. I’ll be encouraging and will respect your boundaries.
Author Payment
At this stage I have no information about how much, if anything, authors will be paid.
